Being part of the dynamic community as both a teacher and school leader is a privilege. The guiding principles that we foster match my own philosophy, allowing me to work alongside students and my team with the best of local values and a global outlook at the same time.

I strive to share my drive for learning and hope through targeted communication and an eye for the bigger picture to make a difference in my students’ lives.

I am motivated to establish the best possible framework for our children and staff to flourish, work well together, and be prepared for their futures. I take great pleasure in the atmosphere of cooperation, acceptance, and respect that provides an optimal base for growth.

With the one constant being change, our evolving school life and the community it builds will always fascinate me.

I introduce the children to German through conversation and singing. I create situations for the children to gain experience and develop individuality, talents, and abilities at their own pace.

My role is to foster a life-long love of learning in the curious minds of our students. That is why I encourage creativity, embrace imagination, and celebrate individuality, all aimed at helping develop a happy and fulfilled child. The sum of learning and acquiring new skills through play, fun, kindness, and respect makes Pre-Kindergarten a special place.

Every child is different and needs support accordingly. I love singing with the children and find this an excellent way to introduce them to the German language. I have been interested in children's language acquisition since I was a student and find working in the bilingual area particularly exciting.

lt is important to me that the lessons are varied so that the children can engage with different ways of acting, thinking and seeing things. Adopting different perspectives is part of the learning path to understanding the environment and securing a place in society.


Children should think about their own actions. Self-reflection is an important step for later, when children become more responsible towards themselves and the environment. In the classroom, each child's way of thinking is an enriching resource for knowledge about the world. Children should therefore also be allowed to contribute their individual needs and ideas so that we can have great lessons together as a class.

I have had the privilege of working with children since 2005 and early childhood is my passion. I believe early experiences set the tone, and build the foundations needed, for the lifelong journey of learning.

Through the power of the positive I endeavour to cultivate a happy, stimulating and fun play-based learning environment. I am driven by the philosophy of a holistic education, valuing all aspects of the curriculum and encouraging every child to be and do their best.

After completing training and working in the commercial sector, two years ago my path led me into providing care for kindergarten and primary children - including those with special needs such as ADHD/ADS/ASS as well as those needing to improve their German language skills. The additional training as a class assistant in “Heilpädagogk” or curative education inspired me a lot. As a mother and experienced caregiver, it is important to me to support each child with heart, patience and individual support. I love my meaningful work and enjoy incorporating in my two creative passions - painting and drawing – into my roles. At Lakeside School, I look forward to an inspiring and appreciative environment.

Classroom teaching and supplemented support lessons is the ideal combination for me. My own bilingualism is of great value. I support all students individually and help them reach their full potential. In the spirit of Galileo Galilei: "You cannot teach anyone anything, you can only help them to find it within themselves."

I have had the privilege of teaching and developing at Lakeside School for more than ten years. The bilingual teaching, the familiar environment, and the cooperation with competent teachers have impressed me until today.

Engaging students in a variety of learning experiences that challenge their ideology, heighten curiosity, and initiate critical thinking skills is important to developing every child’s independence and creativity. I strive to enable each individual student to create a positive mindset and sense of self, fostering their ability to develop resilience and determination towards their learning as well as their ability to continue being life-long learners.

I am passionate about educational technology, enabling students to ask questions to seek their own answers, and fostering self-belief, confidence, and responsibility.

In an exhibition of the artist Olafur Eliasson, I discovered the "Little Sun" solar lamp. I saw this object as a symbol of the principle of education, which the following quote puts perfectly: "Education is not the filling of a bucket, but the lighting of a fire" (W.B. Blake). Igniting the spark of curiosity for cooperative skill and knowledge acquisition motivates me in the classroom every day.

Different cultures and multilingualism of families, students, and the team are what I value most in my work as a teacher at Lakeside School.

Learning should always be engaging and fun for students. Learning goals should be clear and attainable for all learning levels. I value open communication between home and school and strive to give each student individual attention, as well as specific, targeted feedback about their academic and social competencies.

I enjoy sharing my passion for writing with my students and am delighted to watch their literacy skills grow and develop.

Teaching in a bilingual setting is both challenging and rewarding, and I love to spend my days in such a diverse environment with children from various backgrounds and cultures.

My classroom is a safe space for all my students, where they can learn, thrive, and have fun. Building strong relationships and injecting humour into the everyday is how I achieve this and allow my students to become the best versions of themselves, the superheroes of their own lives.

I enjoy working in a bilingual, family-oriented school because the cross-section of language and culture helps build a strong community where our differences and diversity allow us to grow and learn from each other.

Accompanying children individually on their learning path and making their strengths visible is the best thing about teaching for me. I love the moments when something suddenly succeeds that previously seemed impossible - when learning is fun, inspiring, challenging and encouraging. I want my classroom to be a place where all children feel safe, accepted and heard - with all their questions, concerns and ideas. Lakeside School is a place where cultural diversity is lived - I find that very enriching. I appreciate the multilingualism, the friendly atmosphere and the commitment of the team.

The most important thing about teaching and learning French is not acquiring the knowledge but using the language in everyday life. I believe kids should discover all the good they can do with technology in the safe environment a school offers.

I don’t think, as adults, we can pretend screens and devices don’t exist. I show the students the pros and cons of using them so that they grow up being critical users and not just consumers.

Coding and computational thinking in general is a great transversal skill to train that helps problem solving, organizing...

In the Drama and Performing Arts classroom, we cultivate the cognitive skills of language, speech, communication, problem-solving, critical thinking, and quick decision-making. We regularly perform for an internal audience of peers and biannually for the whole Lakeside School community.  

Collaborative teamwork is celebrated, expected, and encouraged in a supportive, engaging, and fully inclusive environment.

The subject Crafts, Design, Technology gives the children the opportunity to understand how things work in everyday life and how they are made. I like to pass on my fascination for technology and design to students and enable them to develop and implement their own ideas. What could be greater than designing your own world, right?

Sport is essential for a person’s health. It is important to offer the students a wide range of sports activities and to help them enjoy moving around. At the same time, the sports lessons should support the students’ development in a performance-oriented yet supportive way. With my polysportive abilities and experience in professional sports, I design physical education lessons to suit each and every student.

It is fascinating how each child has its own strengths and weaknesses and how they develop together despite different cultural backgrounds and languages. That's what makes my work so exciting. I enjoy supporting the children, comforting them, laughing with them, and accompanying them on their way.

I have worked at Lakeside School for over a decade, and my pleasure is still as strong as the day I first arrived. I strive to make each child happy and secure and ensure they enjoy looking forward to the next day with myself and my fabulous team.

I strive to model respect, patience and care for the children I come in contact with. Attending to the basic needs of children comes naturally to me and my friendly nature makes it easy to make them feel safe and welcome, eventually winning their trust and love. Embracing diversity is particularly important to me and Lakeside School honors this.

I approach each child with attention and warmth, accompanying, supporting and sharing-in their own experiences. It is important for them to feel safe, seen and accepted. In doing so, I cultivate joyful, respectful and loving interactions.

I am fascinated by the individual strengths and weaknesses of each child. I am particularly touched by how they grow together and learn from each other despite their different backgrounds and languages. It fulfils me to accompany them, to comfort them, to laugh with them, and to support them.

I strive to create opportunities for all children to learn and develop socially, emotionally and individually. I believe fostering a love of books, language and creativity from a young age helps a child enormously in reaching their full potential.

I treat all children lovingly and with a sense of nuance. I offer them a place where they feel seen and understood. I take them by the hand when they need guidance or give them support when they are exploring new terrain. Together we create time in the now and give free rein to our creativity.

What I like most about my role at Lakeside School is just how multi-faceted it is. No two days are ever the same at Lakeside School and the richness of interaction with colleagues, parents, and above all, the children make it truly a supportive and collaborative environment.

What I enjoy most about working at Lakeside School, besides the beautiful view from the school office, is dealing with children and people of a rainbow of cultural and language diversity that exists in our school. It reflects the environment in which I grew up and developed.

Working as a janitor is very versatile and gives me a lot of freedom in planning and execution. I particularly enjoy large projects where cooperation with various craftsmen is important.
